The 2023 Franklin County Fair

I had a rare Sept. weekend off and it happened to coincide with the 174th annual Franklin County Fair at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Greenfield. The fair features so many things like Hager's Maple Cream Fried Dough, Hager's Maple Cream Fried Dough AND Hager's Maple Cream Fried Dough. JK, there's so much more to it. Like the kick-off parade through town, the wonderful roundhouse, the super charming museum, the midway rides, the music, the ox pull, the kids showing their animals, the demo derby... but that fried dough is SO GOOD. This year it rained - A LOT - but I managed to get a few photos that I liked despite the frequent downpours.

Special thanks to Caitlin von Schmidt, co-director of the ultra charming Fair Museum and Fair President Michael Nelson for helping me with access to the event.
